Dr. Duane M. Bryant is a Board Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with over four decades of clinical and forensic experience in ophthalmology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1980 and completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Friedenwald Eye Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Bryant holds Board Certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology, obtained in 1985, and has maintained active membership in leading professional organizations including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. His educational credentials are further enhanced by a Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University in Maryland, demonstrating his comprehensive approach to patient care and communication.

Dr. Bryant's extensive clinical career spans private practice, academic medicine, and specialized surgical services. From 1984 to 2012, he maintained a successful private practice in Baltimore while serving as a Teaching Attending at the Friedenwald Eye Institute. He has held positions as an Ophthalmic Associate at both Maryland Eye Care Center and Castillejos Eye Institute, and has performed advanced procedures including laser vision correction and endocyclophotocoagulation. His specialized certifications include Excimer Laser Certification from George Washington University Medical Center and Endocyclophotocoagulation Laser Certificate from Endooptiks.

Since 2004, Dr. Bryant has provided comprehensive forensic and consultative services, including expert witness testimony, independent medical examinations, medical peer review, and impairment ratings. His areas of forensic expertise encompass cataract surgery complications, glaucoma, laser surgery outcomes, ocular trauma, motor vehicle accidents, product liability, diabetic retinopathy, and vein occlusion. Additionally, he served as a Visual Systems Specialist for the Medical Review Board at Human Performance Systems, Inc. for over three decades. Dr. Bryant maintains active medical licensure in California and brings both clinical excellence and extensive medico-legal experience to complex ophthalmologic cases.
