Career
Tamera G. Rockholt is a registered nurse (R.N.) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health Sciences University. She has extensive clinical nursing experience in various settings, including the emergency room (ER), Life Flight, critical care unit (CCU), neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and labor and delivery.
Rockholt has worked as a nurse auditor for major health insurers, where she received intensive one-on-one training and audited hospital bills full-time for five years. She later founded Health Cost Management LLC, a small medical review company that gained significant market share before being sold to a national company in 2010.
Rockholt has been an integral part of medical billing fraud projects, collaborating with organizations such as the FBI, LA County District Attorney's Office, California Department of Justice, and special investigation units (SIUs) for various carriers. She has also served as a medical billing fraud trainer at the annual NICB Specialized Academy.
