Jury Rejects Tech Trust Lawsuit Over Time Limits
A federal jury in California completely barred a major corporate lawsuit involving foundational changes at a prominent artificial intelligence organization. The Plaintiffs argued that the Defendants mismanaged assets, breached a charitable trust, and unfairly accumulated wealth through structural changes. However, the jury did not evaluate the core merits of these claims. Instead, the panel unanimously determined that the applicable statutes of limitations barred both the breach of charitable trust and unjust enrichment claims, ending the litigation on procedural time limits.
