A five-year legal battle ended in defeat for an Indiana couple who sued their city's utility over a fire that destroyed their apartment complex. Thomas and Maria LaRosa claimed that sagging electric lines owned by Lawrenceburg Municipal Utilities were blown against their Short Street property during a January 2019 storm, sparking a fire that spread through all the units. The jury disagreed and ruled in favor of the city and its utility on November 19, 2025.

A Wayne County, Indiana jury awarded Arthur Fields, Jr. $900,000 and Patricia Fields $92,600 after a 2018 car crash in Richmond caused by an underinsured driver. The Court then added prejudgment interest, bringing the final figures to $86,686.65 for Arthur and $78,133.55 for Patricia, plus $162.10 in Court costs.

The Court entered final judgment in favor of the dealership.

A Los Angeles jury awarded security guard Jerry Woldum $1,051,277.50 after a massive metal gate at a dialysis center collapsed on him and crushed his legs during his overnight shift. The jury found that the dialysis center, its property owner, and a physician-owner all negligently controlled the work conditions that led to the accident, even though they had received multiple warnings about the defective gate weeks before it fell.
